Folio 249: Stormont to Weymouth. Coudray, with Rocourt, has left with 17 officers for Boston. France is said to have offered to carry on the Americans' Mediterranean trade for them. Beaumarchais corresponds weekly with Wilkes, through Garnier's channels. He refers to supplies of cloth and buttons. Deane is negotiating for 20,000 muskets. War is generally expected. He has conflicting reports on Maurepas' attitude.
