Folio 247: Stormont to Weymouth. While the archbishop of Paris and Machault have made friendly approaches to Necker, he foresees great difficulties facing him, possibly even from Maurepas and the king. It is now generally believed that the rebels have begun to negotiate. The landgrave of Hesse Kassel plans to winter in Paris.
