Folio 222: Stormont to Weymouth. He encloses new ordinances about the navy [missing here], issued by Sartine advised by senior officers, principally Estaing, which give the officers more scope than the clerks. The king has promoted 14 officers to the rank of commodore. Du Chaffault's destination is now public, St. Domingo and Martinique. He will sail next month, carrying no land forces, which might follow later. He encloses correct list of the squadron [f.224].
