Folio 212: Stormont to Weymouth. Coudray goes to St. Domingo with du Chaffault's squadron, taking a train of 200 pieces of cannon, with ammunition and gunners, destined for North America. The 4 Irish regiments will, he is told, do the same but he scarcely believes this. Beaumarchais is exporting cloth and buttons for 10,000 men to America. He names other collaborators. Beaumarchais plans to come to England in order to buy a large forest near Colchester for the French navy.
