Folio 147: Stormont to Weymouth. In addition to du Chaffault's fleet, there are 10 ships of the line at Brest and 4 at Rochefort ready to be manned. 12 at Toulon are not so far advanced. If this is true, France will soon have 32 ships of the line exclusive of the training fleet, which remains armed. Necker has had his first working audience with the king and Maurepas. Stormont discusses Necker's probable plans.
