Folio 96: Stormont to Weymouth. The artillery officer mentioned in f.64 is called Torçon de Coudré [later, Coudray]. Officers angry at his promotion over them have been told that he will not stand in their way as `il allait s'expatrier', Stormont thinks to America. Those disconcerted by the news from America try to explain it away. Stormont regards the news as decisive.
