Folio 439: Frazer to Weymouth. Replying to f.412, he assures him that there have been no American ships in the port since he last reported and no large French ships loading with unusual secrecy. All ships loading powder are doing so under the usual strict safety routine. He gives a breakdown of the 70 ships in port with their countries of origin.
Date and place: 1776 Sept 2 Dunkirk.
