Folio 388: Young to Argout. He congratulates him on his appointment and promises his best efforts towards good relations. He will transmit f.385 to England. He hopes he will receive satisfaction and that Argout will rigorously prevent any help to the rebels. He apologises for shots fired by the British frigate Argo at the French frigate Cerein, in mistake in the dark for an American vessel.
Date and place: 1776 Apr 13 English Harbour Antigua.
