Folio 38: Document complaining that the right to trade without paying duties, which was granted to the Compagnie des Indes has not been granted to individual French traders, now that the Compagnie has been abolished. This has been refused on the orders of the Council of Madras, while the subjects of Britain do enjoy this right. The case is argued at length and is critical of the treatment of French interests by the English. The conduct of Barwell [Richard] is particularly criticised.
