Folio 154: Stormont to Weymouth. More information about the fleet preparing for exercises in the main ocean with ships from Toulon, Rochefort and Brest. A frigate due to sail for the East Indies is to be commanded by a monsieur d'Orville. It will, it is thought, becarrying orders for the recall of Law, who will be succeeded at Pondicherry by Chevalier. An American ship has landed at Havre de Grâce and another at St. Malo. The exercise fleet is to be commanded by du Chaffault [de Besné].
