Folio 41: Intelligence from Brest. There are 44 ships of the line and 40 frigates. 5 of the frigates are armed and were in the road on May 17th. The numbers of guns are given. Details of repairs to other ships. The magazines are full. There are 8 battalions of marines and 4 of regular troops. The regiment Condé is to embark for Belle-Isle. There had been the possibility of war. The report gives the situation at Rochefort and Toulon.
