Description

(c): (c) Le Brasseur to Clarke. He disputes Britain's claims. Her rights are confined to the Senegal river and its dependencies and do not extend to Arguin and Portendie. He asks for the return of his sailors and protests at McNamara opposing a French ship from watering at Jiffré (Gillifree).
