Folio 286: Resolution of the king's men put before the king. 1) rumours about the suppression of the [present] Parlement prejudice justice and public order; 2) it would be dangerous to royal authority and injurious to the memory of the late king; 3) it would produce an illusion soon dissipated by the renewal of France's troubles; 4) it would imply that the late king'' had acted unwisely; 5) the king is asked to preserve the right of Parlement to be heard. The king replied that he was surprised that the chambre de vacations has taken such a resolution because of rumours.
