Folio 250: Stormont to Rochford. The court is at Fontainebleau. The king received the carabiniers on the way and dined with the marquis de Poyanne. The court will leave Fontainebleau early in November and the king will hold a lit de justice to annul the present Parlement and re-establish the old one. The recall of the other Parlements will gradually follow and there will be no immediate threat to the king's authority. Conti will be allowed to return to court but not yet Orléans or Chârtres.
