Folio 218: Stormont to Rochford. Reports on the probable conditions on which the old Parlement will be recalled, on its likely gradual reassertion of its old power and the thwarting of the king. Choiseul's friends hope for his return to power after the retirement of Maurepas but Stormont does not believe this will happen. Maurepas will grow in power, which augers well for peace. He compares him to Fleury, save that great attention will be paid to the navy.
