Folio 250: Rochford to Stormont. No activity in French ports but 5 ships of the line still at Cartagena. The season approaches, when Turkey must decide for continuing the war or for peace. Prussian mediation might be acceptable. Proof has been found of St. Priest being ordered to encourage the Crimean Tartars to revolt by spreading false rumours about the Russian government. Further doubts about the journeys of the king of Sweden and the emperor. An alliance is rumoured btween France and Austria. The king of Prussia's health is in a very bad state.
