Folio 191: Rochford to Stormont. Reports from India state that the nabob of Arcot, with company troops, stormed Tanjore, ensuring peace in the Carnatic for some time. This may show French preferences for support for the rajah of Tanjore rather than the Chevalier plan. He gives details of forces at Pondicherry. Refers to the visit to the empress in Vienna of a colonel Adhémar, in the French service.
