Folio 210: St. Paul to Rochford. There is so much intrigue at Versailles, centred round the overthrow of Monteynard, that nothing is happening about Chevalier's wild project. But it is still `on the anvil'. La Rocque, 1st secretary to Boynes, is a creature of Aiguillon. Boynes will be duped and Aiguillon will succeed in adding the marine or war department to his own.
Date and place: 1773 Dec 29 Paris.
