Reports long acrimonious discussion with Aiguillon about cost of French prisoners of war in India, Aiguillon asked the British East India company to choose between a report by a master of requests, to be handed to the king, who would decide, or to receive a person from the bureau of the last Compagnie des Indes, fully accredited to settle the matter in London.
