Folio 129: Rochford to St. Paul. French `Schemers' have been at two places on the coast of West Africa, in clear violation of the last treaty by which Senegal and all its dependencies were ceded to Britain. Britain wishes harmony with France. He encloses copy of f.132, which he is to show to Aiguillon. Britain's claim extends from Cape Blanco to Cape Sierra de Leon but the present issue only concerns Argouin and Portendie. Encloses f.135.
