Folio 190: Stormont to Rochford. Aiguillon had an additional cause for worry [see f.186], when he asked the duc d'Orleans to attend the obsequies of the king of Sardinia. On such occasions the princes of the blood salute the Parlement. The duke, pleading gout, gavean equivocal answer and the king was displeased. La Marche at once persuaded the prince de Condé and his son the duc de Bourbon to attend. Condé, back in favour, is said to be an enemy of Aiguillon. Encloses f.192. The king of Prussia is reported to be claiming Samogitia as well as Courland.
