Description

Folio 144: Frazer to Rochford. A letter from an officer at Toulon states that there are orders to arm only 3 ships of the line, named here, to go to Brest. No mention is made of countermanding the arming of the other ships. The ships carrying the ordnance stores have left Dunkirk for Brest.

Date and place: 1773 May 10 Dunkirk.
