Folio 89: St. Paul to Rochford. Aiguillon denies any arming of ships or special troop movements, apart from the move of the regiment of La Marck from Grenoble to relieve a regiment in Flanders. St. Paul had said that, if France sent a fleet into the Baltic or began to arm in France, Britain would do the same. Aiguillon replied that France would not abandon Sweden, if she were attacked. The conference at Bucharest is going badly. He includes a list of German regiments and details of Swiss ones. [See f.61].
