Folio 42: St. Paul to Rochford. Acknowledges news of birth of a prince [Augustus Frederick]. The dauphine's ball and the annual procession of the knights of the order of the St. Esprit meant that he could not deliver the letters of notification until after these. It is very difficult to obtain intelligence from the ports.
