Folio 329: Hector Theophilus Cramahé, lieutenant governor of Quebec, to Hillsborough. A French schooner carrying a madame Henry and 11 other passengers arrived in Quebec with a letter from Daugeac, governor of St. Pierre and Miquelon, which asks permission for the captain to buy provisions of which these islands are short. He agreed and also agreed to allow madame Henry to settle in Canada but warned that in future a vessel arriving without a register in a British port would be confiscated.
