Folio 324: Blaquiere to Rochford. He will leave for England after introducing St. Paul. Aiguillon is anxious to avoid any meeting of the British and French fleets, when the French return to Brest. He explained the need for France to revive her navy and her commercein the East Indies by re-establishing the Compagnie des Indes. Most French troops were being withdrawn from the Isles de France. Blaquiere reported reforms of the revenues of the farmers general.
