Folio 287: Rochford to Harcourt. His request about leave [f.283] is granted. Lord Townshend [lord lieutenant of Ireland] has been informed. He remains ambassador until the arrival of lord Stormont. France will agree to receiving his credentials by letter and not require Guines to return as Harcourt will merely be on leave.
