Folio 301: Rochford to Blaquiere. No promise was ever made to abandon the Falklands. The Canada merchants and he himself are satisfied with the settlement in f.297 and appreciate the part played by Aiguillon. He encloses ff. 304, 306 about a small part of the Canada merchants property. The reason why Sir George Rodney [in command of Jamaica station] sent two warships to deliver his letter to the governor of Cartagena has been explained.
