Folio 291: Blaquiere to Rochford. Aiguillon insisted that it had been understood that the Falkland would be mutually abandoned. He seemed angry at the appointment of Guines, someone at the London embassy, in whom he had no confidence. When Guines is recalled, it is likely that the marquis d'Escars will succeed him. Prince Louis has returned from Vienna, humiliated by the restrictions imposed on his mission and his lack of money. He sets off again the following day. Reference to the expedition to George's island.
