Folio 270: Blaquiere to Rochford. Fuentes spoke about the Cartagena incident, hinted at criticism of the conduct of the English admiral and said that the peaceful intentions of kings and ministers could be jeopardised by the actions of the commanders at sea. Fuentes is expected to leave in the spring. Merci told him that Prussia was not withdrawing her troops from Poland and had designs on Danzig. The marquis de Pons sets out for Berlin in January. Count Maltzan is trying to be appointed to France.
