Folio 256: Blaquiere to Rochford. Aiguillon is very concerned at the report he has had of the incident referred to in f.197, 199. While Britain retained the Falklands, there could be no peace. Blaquiere refused to comment in writing but had said Spain must give satisfaction for the insult given by the governor of Cartagena. The Spanish ambassador thought the affair trifling. France has ceded Capraia to Genoa in perpetuity. Negotiations are afoot to cede the sovereignty of Corsica to France. The court returns to Versailles on November 19th.
