Folio 247: D'Angeac to Byron. He protests at the arrest of 10 French shallops by British shallops manned by sailors posing as fishermen. The French crews were then sent home in the worst of the 10 shallops with no sails. This took place in the channel between St. Pierre and Newfoundland.
Date and place: 1771 Aug 14 St Pierre de Terre Neuve.
