Folio 245: Captain William Bennett to Byron. He relates how, in answer to requests for help from British fishermen, he sent 2 shallops and found 46 French boats fishing illegally. He seized 10. He sent copies of the Treaty of Paris with each officer in command of ashallop.
Date and place: 1771 Aug 16 Aeolus Burin Harbour.
