Folio 174: Rochford to Harcourt. A letter from Harris and a talk with Masserano give assurances that Spain wishes to disarm and has begun to do so. The French ambassador gave similar assurances on behalf of France. As a result the king has ordered the reduction of the British navy to a peace establishment,. Encloses copy of Harris's letter.
