Folio 164: Rochford to Harcourt. Acknowledges f.162. But the French ambassador says France is arming. He will recommend a replacement secretary from his office. He cannot understand a report that the viceroy of Lima has dislodged the English from an island off the coast of Chile. No such settlement is known or thought of.
