Folio 241: Procès Verbal of proceedings at the lit de justice, naming those present and detailing ceremonial. The chancellor spoke, giving the king's orders to the Parlement to confine itself to administering justice and to submit to his authority. The 1st president spoke. The Parlement did not wish to register edicts which were contrary to long established laws. The king's advocate, Antoine Louis Seguier then said that the Parlement submitted to the king's will and the edict, having been read, was registered.
