Folio 140: Walpole to Weymouth. Choiseul has informed Grimaldi of Britain's peaceful intentions [about the Falklands] and urged moderation by both countries, since France and Spain would have to arm, thus endangering peace. Choiseul was alarmed to hear from Francèsof the arming by Britain of 18 vessels.
