Folio 171: Weymouth to Harcourt. The Canada merchants confirm that interest on their reconnaissances has been refused. Since Choiseul is evasive about the settlement of the maintenance of prisoners by the Compagnie des Indes, in spite of the commitment by the king of France, he is to inform Choiseul that Britain cannot negotiate with confidence on any issue, if this one is not settled.
