Folio 127: Weymouth to Harcourt. Because Choiseul and Châtelet, whose words are quoted here, take the view that the settlement of the maintenance of prisoners of war in the East Indies rests between the two companies rather than on the engagement of the king of France in the memorial of January 1765, he is to ask for a clear statement from Choiseul. He outlines the reply to be given to French protests about the question of the pennants [see SP 78/279 ff.87, 89, 126]. Encloses copy of SP 78/279 f.184.
