Folio 55: Weymouth to Harcourt. He expects the resignation of the duke of Grafton to be the only change in the government. Harcourt is to assure Choiseul that the recruitment of 2000 seamen is entirely a measure of convenience, unrelated to foreign affairs. Choiseul's conduct of the Canada paper negotiations does him no honour. The relatively small amount should be paid at once. The reduction of interest will not be tolerated.
Date and place: 1770 Feb 6 St James'.
