Description

Folio 229: Choiseul to Harcourt. The French government has issued no orders to construct fortifications at Chandernagore. It will observe the Treaty of Paris and order their demolition. But he refers to insults to the French by the British East India Company and tothe need of the French to dig channels for health reasons.

Date and place: 1769 Dec 28 Versailles.
