Folio 170: Walpole to Weymouth. Choiseul denied inciting Algiers to declare war on Denmark. France is arming one or two ships to punish the Corsairs. In fact France is hostile to Tunis not Algiers and this may be a cover to arming ships at Toulon to watch the Russian fleet. The treaty between France and Sweden is nearly concluded. France is sending troops to the Isle de France and the Isle de Bourbon. Encloses f.173. Harcourt has been held up at Dover by the weather.
