Folios 66-76: 1) Heading to the secret articles of the French Hamburg treaty. 2) Ratification of the separate and secret articles of the Treaty of marine and commerce between France and Hamburg. They cover interpretation of the `most favoured nation' terms, give the French equality with the English and the merchants of Hamburg equal rights to the Dutch. They give details of concessions, tariffs, etc, relating to trade. This is signed for France by the marquis de Noailles and for Hamburg by Jean Jacques Faber, syndic, and Guillaume Clamer, senator. There follows an explanation of various tariffs and taxes, particularly the tariff on wine and brandy.
