Folio 62: Guinand to Weymouth. While being grateful that the proprietors of the Canada reconnaissances are released from having to convert them, the committee is concerned that no distinction is now made between British and French proprietors, contrary to the Treaty [of Paris] and the convention. The committee feels that the statement that, when they fall due, they can be renewed, means that they will never be paid.
