Folio 186: Memorial about the pillage and burning of the brig Concorde of Calais, carrying brandy and wine from Barcelona to Calais and wrecked near the Welsh coast. Before the vessel could be refloated, the inhabitants of two villages in Glamorgan seized the cargo, smashed the masts and cut up the sails, then set fire to the ship, in sight of the justices and customs officers. The outrage took place over three days and it is impossible for these officers not to have recognised some of the looters. The most severe punishment is demanded.
