If the Compagnie des Indes goes bankrupt, the main loss will fall on Britain. Boucainville [?Bougainville] reports that the British sloop Swallow has survived storms and will soon be home. There are no transactions going on between Versailles and Berlin. The king appears to ignore Goltz.
