Folio 242: Walpole to Weymouth. The Parlement of Paris has resolved to ask the king to withdraw recent edicts. Its request to stop the export of corn has been refused. The king said there was overall a great abundance. The states of Brittany have granted the don gratuit. The government has increased the number of maréchaussées to 1200, a measure opposed by the Parlement.
