Folio 131: Walpole to Weymouth. The Howards have lost their claim to share in the moveable goods of their late uncle Trublet de la Herse by a decision of the king and the conseil des depêches. This is clearly contrary to the Treaty of Utrecht. Britain will presumably in future prevent French subjects from receiving advantages they have been enjoying under the treaty. [See entries in SP 78/261, 270, 271].
Date and place: 1768 Nov 2 Fontainebleau.
