Folio 110: Walpole to Shelburne. He has repeated British demands about Dunkirk. The sluice of Kesleloot must not be repaired, the sluice of Bergues must be demolished. Choiseul replied that Chatelet would be fully briefed on his return. Enclosed are ff.113, 115. The bishop of Kamieniec (Kaminieck) has arrived supposedly to negotiate on behalf of the [Polish] confederates. He will not get more than sympathy. Choiseul's position with the king is stronger than ever. Some believe France will try to come to some agreement with the Corsicans.
Date and place: 1768 Oct 19 Fontainebleau.
