Folio 202: Rochford to Shelburne. A French officer from Corsica reports an engagement, when brigadier Grandmaison and Marboeuf, maréchal de camp, effected a link between Bastia and San Fiorenzo. The Corsicans were defeated. Encloses ff.204, 206 with accounts of thefighting. Chauvelin has left for the island.
Date and place: 1768 Aug 18 Compiègne.
